Students and staff of Menindee Central School travelled 4000 km from their remote outback town in Australia to stay in a village at Ekipe on the island of Efate, Vanuatu.
Walking through the jungle, Joel finds magic leaves.
He carefully lays the leaves on the ground.

Who wants to be the victim... sorry, I meant to say - assistant?

After some discussion, Brian (his village name) was volunteered.

Now just lie quietly Brian and pretend that you've been injured in a tribal skirmish. With the help of these magic leaves, we'll be able to carry you back to our village and either heal you or eat you depending on which side you're on.

The magic is strong, Brian takes flight.
Another victim volunteers.

Wan bigfela!

30 cm up, the magic finished. We'll have to leave this victim where he lies.

Brian rehydrates before heading further into the jungle to gather food for dinner.
